The Ludwigsburg Baroque Christmas Market takes place every year in the run -up to Christmas on and around the market square in Ludwigsburg in Baden-Württemberg . The characteristic of the Christmas market is the arrangement of the more than 170 stalls (2011: 173 stalls) based on the model of baroque gardens and the angel lights above the market.

In a study published by the South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences in November 2012, the Ludwigsburg Christmas market took 5th place out of over 100 examined Christmas markets in terms of comfort . After the Stuttgart Christmas market and the Esslinger , it is one of the largest and most popular Christmas markets in the region.

In 2012 the Christmas market was open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. from November 27 to December 23. In addition to the market, there was a stage program and other events. This included visits to " Frederick I " at the market and the opportunity to climb the tower of the Protestant town church with a view of the illuminated Christmas market.

According to August Lämmle , there was a Christmas market in Ludwigsburg by 1883 at the latest.
