The Ludwig place in Karlsruhe is one of the popular places in the western city .

The square got its shape from two triangles through the intersection of streets of the Karlsruhe fan plan and the Landgraben . His name refers to Grand Duke Ludwig I of Baden .

During the renovation of the city center in the 1970s, Ludwigsplatz was redesigned from a parking lot to a meeting place. Some of the best-known locations are Café Ludwig's , Lehner's and Aposto as well as the Enchilada in the building of the former crocodile , which is kept in Munich Art Nouveau .
