remodeling

The city council of Hof decided to redesign Ludwigstrasse in order to achieve a higher quality of stay. This was preceded by a citizens' survey in which the residents were able to submit their suggestions for redesign.

In May 2019, several lingering islands were built into the course of the road. They should offer more space to passers-by. Various projects were also discussed, such as holding festivals. Due to the fact that the islands could not really meaningfully be integrated into the offer on the road, the city council decided to dismantle the islands again. Planned festivals or other actions in the street are not affected and will continue to take place. For example, the weekly market was partially relocated to Ludwigstrasse.
