Luftkönig is a game with a soccer ball on a goal, whereby a goal only applies if the ball was accepted directly from the air. Any number of players can take part.

Rules of the game

The goalkeeper has eleven points at the beginning, the other players have ten points each. The outfield players try to take the ball straight from the air and score a goal. For every goal scored in this way, one point is deducted from the goalkeeper. Field players may try to volley shots at will. If a template does not fit, the ball may also be juggled and then presented to a teammate. If the ball has not yet touched the ground, it may be shot even after several juggling sessions. If a field player misses the goal, if the goalkeeper holds or if a field player scores an irregular goal, this field player becomes the new goalkeeper and the goalkeeper becomes the field player. The previous goalkeeper throws the ball in from a post. Players with zero points are eliminated.

If there are only two players left, either the player with the higher number of points is the winner, or a penalty shoot-out is held for the remaining points.

variants

There are two winners, ie the last two players do not have a shootout, but instead get one point each for the next round.

If a player loses his last point, he can save himself from being eliminated by shooting the ball into the empty goal from a certain greater distance (25–40 meters) without the ball first touching the ground.

If the goalkeeper catches a cross or a shot, he may try to throw a field player who then has to go into the goal. If the field player catches this thrown ball, he takes a throw-in from the place where he stands.

If the goalkeeper catches a ball otherwise, he rolls it where no one is standing; if the ball bounces off, the field players may shoot directly.

The area is limited, the playing field only extends over the penalty area . Within the five-meter space, the ball may only be carried with the head onto the goal. But flanks may also be kicked with the foot.

If the goalkeeper throws the ball out of bounds, the ball is thrown in.If a player hits a flank that cannot be reached with head, body or feet, the teammates have a duty to rescue, they must try the ball with full physical effort save, if a teammate does not do this, he has to go into the goal. If a flank cannot be reached at all, the flanker has to go into the goal.

The ball may also be turned into a drop kick, whereby it must be ensured that it is kicked immediately after the impact.
