Luigi Buhler
Luigi Buhler (* 3. September 1921 in Winterthur ; † 20th September 2004 ) was a Swiss composer in chess .
Chess composition
Bühler mainly composed multi-trainees. In 1969 a 30-move from him was published in the Swiss chess newspaper. At the 1st WCC tournament 1972-1975 he finished 11th.

The two pieces in the middle of the board to the block over two steps are reminiscent of the suffocated Matt .
Party chess
Around 1941 Bühler became a member of the Geneva Chess Club. In 1946 he moved to Lucerne and played an active part in the local chess club. Here he won in a simultaneous game against Korchnoi .
Life
Luigi grew up in Winterthur and Ticino. In 1949 he married his wife Jacqueline, the marriage resulted in a son (1951) and a daughter (1954). After his retirement he lived in Ticino. In the years before his death, he had health problems.
