Luis Alberto Costales
Luis Alberto Costales Cazar (born December 24, 1926 in Riobamba ; † February 1, 2006 ibid) was a poet, writer, philosopher, teacher, speaker and Ecuadorian politician.
Life
He was a co-founder of the Izquierda Democrática party and a member of its first Consejo Ejecutivo Nacional , which was formed by Alfredo Buendia, Rodrigo Borja Cevallos , Teran Fidel Jaramillo, Efren Cocíos and others. The party, which had become Ecuador's first political force in 1986, brought Rodrigo Borja Cevallos to the presidency.
His birthplace Riobamba has become known through its history as the cradle of great men who made a significant contribution to the development of society. Luis Alberto Costales is seen in Ecuadorian society as an example for the youth with his embodiment of high humanistic and civic values.
