Coleman Company
The Coleman Company, Inc. is an American manufacturer of leisure and outdoor products, to be Newell Brands heard.
The company was founded in 1900 by William Coffin Coleman in Kingfisher , Oklahoma , and moved to Wichita , Kansas in 1902 .
Today the company is based in Wichita, and there is also a location in Texas. The company has a range of products for the camping and leisure market.
Coleman sells high-light lamps under the name Coleman Lantern , which run on petroleum , gasoline or propane and are equipped with one or two incandescent mantles . Various stoves are also produced , including the original GI Pocket Stove , as well as sleeping bags , cool boxes , generator sets , tents, etc. The French manufacturer Campingaz has been part of Coleman since 1996 .
To the now no longer produced by Coleman products include snowmobiles , folding caravans and the Hobie Cat - sailboats .
One department sells heating and air conditioning products for stationary use.
