Luis Sica Bergara

Luis Alfredo Sica Bergara is a Uruguayan ambassador and diplomat .

Life

Bergara graduated with a degree in law and has been Professor of International Law and International Relations in Montevideo at the Universidad de la República (UdelaR) since 1980 . He was the Uruguayan Chargé d' Affaires in Iran during the first Gulf War.

In Rome he was then a follow-up delegate ("Delegado Alterno") to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). In Cambodia , he took on a role for the UN as an election observer ("Oficial Electoral") at the local elections. He also held the office of the Uruguayan Consul General in Rosario , Argentina . After two years in the Uruguayan diplomatic service in Poland, he worked as Uruguayan ambassador to the European Union in Brussels and as Uruguayan ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg from December 2006 until 2010.

As a book author he wrote the work "El cuenta de la diplomacia".

On December 23, 2013, he received the exequatur as Consul General in Los Angeles.
