Luis Eduardo Pérez

Luis Eduardo Pérez Pagola (* 1774 - April 10, 1841 ) was a Uruguayan politician.

Pérez was initially Vice President of the Asamblea de la Florida in 1825 . From July 26, 1828 to December 1, 1828 he was at the behest of Juan Antonio Lavallejas Gobernador y Capitán General Delegado de la Provincia . As the representative of the Department of San José, he belonged to the first Uruguayan Senate in the 1st legislative period from October 9, 1830 to March 5, 1833 and in the 3rd and 4th legislative periods - this time as a deputy - from February 27, 1839 to July 12, 1839 and December 30, 1839 until his death on April 10, 1841. At the same time he was its first president and held the presidency of the Senate from 1830 up to and including 1832 and again in 1840. As such, he served from October 24 to November 6, 1930 after the constitution was drawn up as the first president of Uruguay , before Fructuoso Rivera was elected to the new office. In 1839, 1840 and 1843 to 1845 inclusive, he also chaired the Comisión Permanente de Poder Legislativo . The latter data, however, contradict the date of his death, so that it may be a person with the same name or an error in content on the website of the Uruguayan parliament.
