Luis Landero

Luis Landero (born March 25, 1948 in Alburquerque , Badajoz ) is a Spanish writer , literature and language professor.

Life

Luis Landero comes from a simple farming family who ran agriculture in the Extremadura region on the Portuguese border. In 1960 he moved to the capital Madrid and earned the money to study as a teacher of flamenco guitar .

He studied philology at the Complutense University of Madrid , where he was employed as an assistant for Filología Francesa . He was then professor of Spanish language and literature at the Instituto de bachillerato de Madrid and at the Escuela de Arte Dramático Madrid School of Dramatic Arts . His first novel "Juegos de la edad tardía" was published in 1989. In 1995 he was visiting professor at Yale University New Haven (Connecticut) for Spanish literature and language.

He is now retired, married and has two children. However, he is still active as an author.
