Luis Yoshio Onmura or Luiz Yoshio Onmura (born June 29, 1960 in São Paulo ) is a former Brazilian judoka . He was an Olympic Knight in 1984.

At the beginning of his career, the 1.68 m tall Onmura competed in a half-light weight of up to 65 kilograms. In this weight class he won silver behind the Canadian Brad Farrow at the 1979 Pan American Games . In 1980 Onmura won the Pan American Championships. At the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow he was defeated in his second fight by the Swede Wolfgang Biedron .

From 1983 Onmura fought in the lightweight up to 71 kilograms. At the Pan American Games in 1983 , Cuban Guillermo D'Nelson May won , Onmura received silver as in 1979. In 1984 Onmura won a bronze medal at the Pan American Championships. At the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, he reached the semifinals. After his loss to the Italian Ezio Gamba , the Brazilian won the battle for bronze against the Canadian Glenn Beauchamp .

At the Pan American Games in 1987 Onmura won his third silver medal, this time he was defeated by US judoka Mike Swain . In 1988 Onmura won the Pan American Championships. At the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul Onmura was eliminated from the British Kerrith Brown, who was later disqualified for doping .
