Luis school from the west

The Luisenschule is a primary school in the city of Aschersleben (Saxony-Anhalt).

The school was built in 1888 as an elementary school for girls at Am grau Hof in the western old town and was named after the Prussian Queen Luise when it was inaugurated on October 15, 1888 . In 1973 it was renamed in honor of the resistance fighter Bruno Kühn and got its old name back in 1992.

The school building was built in the style of the late Wilhelminian era . The symmetrical design of the facade of the three-storey building is emphasized by a central projection. The alternation of red bricks and yellow plastered surfaces give it a lively effect.
