Lukas Church (Rheindorf)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Lukas Church was a Protestant church in the Leverkusen district of Rheindorf . It belonged to the municipality of Rheindorf in the Evangelical Church District of Leverkusen .

history

The small wooden church with a pointed roof was built as an emergency church in the 1950s. It had space for around 60 church visitors. Due to the decision to build a new Rheindorf community center with the Hoffnungskirche as a church service room in 2005/2006, the Lukas Church was demolished after the last service on Easter Monday 2005. The proceeds from the sale of the property have already been used for the new building. Only the former rectory is still there.
