Lukas Herzog (born September 10, 2001 ) is a German basketball player .

career

Lukas Herzog started his basketball club career at the BBC Stuttgart, in 2015 he moved to the youth department of BSG Ludwigsburg together with his twin brother Manuel, after having been in action for both clubs with a double license the previous year.

Herzog made the leap into the men's team of the BSG Basket (2nd Regionalliga Südwest) and played for the team of the Ludwigsburg Basketball Academy, first in the youth basketball league , then also in the youth basketball league . On January 7, 2018, he received his first minutes of play with the MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg in the basketball Bundesliga . On February 6, 2018, he had his first minutes in the Champions League . In August 2018, Herzog became German U18 champions in "3-on-3 basketball" .

In the 2019/20 season he was German runner-up with Ludwigsburg, he scored 2.3 per game over the course of the season in the Bundesliga.

National team

In the U15 age range, Herzog made the leap into the squad of the German Basketball Federation and took part in the European Championship with the U16 national team in 2017. In 2019 he was appointed to the German U18 national team in the 3-on-3 game. In the conventional basketball variant, he finished eleventh with the U18 national team at the EM 2019.
