Luleå Sportklubb ( Luleå SK for short ) is a sports club from Luleå in Sweden .

history

The association was founded on October 22, 1915 in Café Lundgren in Storgatan . A year later, on November 26, 1916, the bandy department was founded .

Departments

Bandy

After it was founded on November 26, 1916, the Luleå SK's bandy team played against IFK Boden on December 3, 1916 and won the game 7-1. In 1922 the club won its first national title. By relegation in 1967, the club won a total of 19 national titles and five junior titles. Since 2007, the club has only played lower class and has been commuting between leagues four and six.

ice Hockey

Until 1977 they played ice hockey at Luleå SK, before the team split off and together with the team from IFK Luleå in 1979 they formed the Luleå HF club .

Soccer

The football department was primarily known for its women's team. These played briefly in the second highest division for women. However, the team was completely restructured in 2009 and today consists primarily of young players with an average age of 15.5 years. The trainers are Robert Abrahamsson and Urban Ståhl Brust. The club plays its home games at Hertsö IP in Luleå. The club, which is a member of the Norrbottens Fotbollförbund , won the Midnattsolscupen (Midnight Sun Cup) in 2009 .

In 2007 the men played in Division IV and the women in Division VI. In 2010 the men played in Division III and the women in Division IV.

Winter sports

Winter sports are one of the main focuses of the club's work. Club member Konrad Pettersson won the Wasalauf , the largest cross-country skiing event in Scandinavia, in 1927 . As early as 1925 and 1926, two members of the club won the Swedish individual championships in ski jumping. 1925 Karl Edfast and 1926 Viktor Dahlén . Also won Sven Johansson in 1926 the title at the nordic combined .
