Luna Rise is a melodic rock band from Enns , Austria . Their influences come from the catchy (hard) rock, metal-containing progressive up to doom / gothic rock.
history
Chris Divine, head of Luna Rise, formed the band in 2010 with his friend, bassist Rob Rocket. Luke Vegas joins as guitarist. Divine put his instrument aside and traded it for the microphone . The band was soon completed by the drummer Loup-Garou and the keyboardist LX
They agreed on the band name Luna Rise. Luna is Latin and stands for the moon and the associated mysticism, which can also be found in the musical style of the band. In 2011 the band worked on the debut EP Smoking Kills but Love Can Break a Heart and the music video Dead Alley . Shortly afterwards, the Austrian music broadcaster gotv became aware of Luna Rise. The GoTV editor-in-chief invited the band to an interview and a "Hosted By" show.
Luna Rise were under contract with ToneArt-Booking from summer 2012 . They parted ways in December 2012. Since January 2013, the booking agency "rockbands.at" has been acting as a new agency which became aware of the newcomers after an interview published online at zone1.at .
In 2013 the band released a limited edition of their EP Smoking Kills but Love Can Break a Heart , where they officially acted for the first time under the Tomcat Records label . In September 2013, the band introduced a new guitarist, Andreas Erd (aka Andy Earth), winner of the Robert Johnson Guitar Awards 2012. The band is now managed and booked by the Rock Agency, represented by Tom Proll. In March 2015, Luna Rise switched to NRT-Records on the recommendation of Tom Roll, where Smoking Kills but Love Can Break a Heart was reissued and the album Dark Days & Bright Nights was finally released in 2015 .
