LunarStorm
LunarStorm is possibly the world's first online community and is operated by the company LunarWorks from Varberg ( Sweden ). The website is extremely popular in Sweden - around 4 million visit it a month, out of a population of 9 million. Until 2007 there was also an offshoot in Great Britain and Denmark . The community focuses specifically on young people.
The predecessor of LunarStorm was called "StajlPlejs" and was online since 1996. LunarStorm has officially been online since January 1st, 2000. The founder of the site is called Rickard. He lives in Tvååker in Halland , Sweden.
