Lushui ( Chinese  泸水 市 , Pinyin Lúshuǐ Xiàn ) is an independent city in the northwest of the Chinese province of Yunnan . It belongs to the administrative area of ​​the Nujiang Autonomous District of Lisu Nationality and is also home to the government of this autonomous district. Lushui has an area of ​​3203.04 km² and has a population of 187,000. Lushui is located directly on the border with Myanmar , it shares a border length of 136.241 kilometers with the neighboring state.

The Saluen River, which is called Nu Jiang (怒江) in China, flows through the territory of Lushui from north to south . In the east it is shaped by the Nu Shan mountain range , in the west by the Gaoligong Shan .

Attractions for visitors include Tingming Hu Mountain Lake , Dishui He River waterfalls, and Yinhe Dong Cave .

Administrative structure

At the community level, Lushui consists of six large communities and three communities , one of which is a national community. These are:

  • Greater community Liuku (六库镇);
  • Greater community Luzhang (鲁掌镇);
  • Pianma Municipality (片 马镇);
  • Greater community Shangjiang (上江镇);
  • Greater community Daxingdi (大兴地镇);
  • Greater community Laowo (老窝镇);
  • Chenggan Township (称 杆 乡);
  • Gudeng municipality (古 登 乡);
  • Community Luobenzhuo the Bai (洛本卓白族乡).

The seat of government is in Liuku Township .
