Gongshan
The Gongshan Autonomous District of Derung and Nu ( 贡山 独龙族 怒族 自治县 , Gòngshān Dúlóngzú Nùzú zìzhìxiàn ) is an autonomous district of Derung and Nu belonging to the Nujiang Autonomous District of Lisu ( 怒江 傈 僳 族 自治州 , Nùìāng Lìzùzú whose Zìzùō ) northernmost circle is. Nujiang is located in the northwest of the Chinese province of Yunnan . Gongshan covers an area of 4,506 km² and had 35,910 inhabitants at the 2012 census, 96% of whom belong to ethnic minorities (14.96% Derung and 18.3% Nu, otherwise mainly Lisu , Primi , Naxi , Bai , Tibetans and Hui ) . The main town of Gongshan is the Cikai (茨 开 镇) community. The coordinates of the circle are 27 ° 29'-28 ° 23'N and 98 ° 08'-98 ° 56'E. The county borders on the Tibet Autonomous Region (135 km border) to the north and Myanmar (Burma) (172 km border) to the west . Gongshan Autonomous County is located in the central area of the Hengduan Mountains and encloses the valleys of the Nu Jiang (Salween), the Mekong (Lancang Jiang) and the Irrawady.
Administrative structure
At the municipality level, the autonomous district consists of a large municipality and four municipalities . These are:
- Greater community Cikai (茨开鎮)
- Community Bingzhongluo (丙中洛乡)
- Community Pengdang / Wuqu (捧当乡/五区)
- Puladi / Sanqu municipality (普拉 底 乡 / 三 区)
- Community Dulongjiang (独龙江乡)
