The Lutherkirche Stralsund is a church building in the Hanseatic city of Stralsund .

history

The church in the simple style of the surrounding settlement houses in the Alte Richtenberger Straße No. 87 was built from 1936 to 1937 on a park-like area and inaugurated in 1937 at the Reformation Festival. "Jesus Christ yesterday today and the same forever" was chosen as the consecration verse.

Furnishing

A small ridge turret with a cross houses the bell of the Luther Church.

The church has a barrel vault . Because of this and the lengthways structure, the church interior is large and bright.

The Luther parish arose as a daughter parish of St. Marien . Today the Luther parish belongs to the parish association St. Marien and is organized in the Propstei Stralsund in the Pomeranian Evangelical Church District of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany . Before that she belonged to the Stralsund parish of the Pomeranian Evangelical Church .
