construction

The bell tower

The building is not oriented exactly to the east, but adapts to the course of the properties on Langen Strasse. It is a reinforced concrete building with brick cladding, which is covered by copper plates.

The nave is determined by a tent-like part of the building protruding to the southeast with a large triangular gable. The gable is filled with a glass mosaic almost to the floor.

The free-standing, copper-clad bell tower is open in the middle in the lower area. The church tower clock and the sound openings for the four bells follow at the top.

Inner

The interior is dominated by the glazed gable wall behind the altar. The glass mosaic comes from the artist Countess A. Hohenthal. Strong blues and reds are predominant. The gaze is drawn to the crucified Christ through a spiral, but not central arrangement.

The organ on the gallery above the entrance was inaugurated in 1970. It comes from the organ builder Alfred Führer . The organ has 21 registers , two manuals and a pedal .
