Luttelnau (noble family)
The Luttelnau (also Luttelenau or Lüttelnau , Luthenau or Luttenau ) were a noble family in Westphalia . They were fiefs of the Abbey . They sat at Luttelnau Castle in the Ruhr Valley , a moth from which the Kattenturm is still preserved today.
In 1260 the Archbishop of Cologne enfeoffed the knight Konrad von Elberfeld with Luttelnau Castle. In 1295 a knight documented Luttelnau. Knight Henrich von Luttelnau was enfeoffed with house stone in 1360 . In the 14th century there is a Gerlach von Lüttelnau on Haus Heven am Oelbach . Heinrich von Luttelnau was enfeoffed with House Heisingen in 1384 and 1412. In the male line , the family died out in 1417.
The coat of arms of the knightly family shows a wake cross .
