Lutz leader

Lutz Führer (* 1945 in Lüneburg ) is a German mathematician whose scientific focus is on topology and mathematics didactics . He taught at the University of Frankfurt am Main until 2010 .

Lutz Führer received his doctorate in 1971 from the Free University of Berlin under Helmut Pachale . Subsequently, he initially held an assistant professorship at the TU Berlin until 1975 . Then he was a high school teacher for a period of 18 years. a. at the Albert Einstein High School in Hameln . Lutz Führer was the mathematics department head for higher education for 12 years before he became professor for mathematics didactics in Frankfurt am Main from WS 1993/94 . In his didactic writings he defends adherence to mathematical heurisms and social demands in teaching and teacher training.
