Lutz Fischer (economist)

Lutz Fischer (* 1939 ) is a German economist , tax advisor (StB) and emeritus professor for business administration (BWL). He held the chair for business taxation at the Institute for Foreign and International Finance and Taxation (IIFS) at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Hamburg .

Life

Lutz Fischer received his doctorate in 1963 from the political science faculty of the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . His dissertation of December 6, 1963 was entitled "Business management advantages and disadvantages of civil society. Represented taking into account its main applications" .

Until his retirement he taught and researched in business taxation at the Institute for Foreign and International Finance and Taxation (IIFS) at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Hamburg .

In 1999 published Hans-Jochen Kleineidam as publisher a commemorative publication on the occasion of the 60th birthday of Lutz Fischer, entitled "Corporate Governance and International Taxation" .

Lutz Fischer is currently (as of March 2013) a member of the scientific advisory board at the Federal Ministry of Finance .

Research priorities

Lutz Fischer's research area included in particular international business taxation.
