tasks

The Advisory Board advises the Federal Ministry of Finance through the regular publication of reports and statements. For example, a report on the reform of statutory health insurance was published in 2006 and a study on tax reform through a dual income tax or a so-called flat tax in 2004.

According to the articles of association of the advisory board, it is obliged to be politically independent. The Federal Ministry itself regards the advisory board as the “scientific conscience” of its work.
