Wolfgang Kitterer

Wolfgang Kitterer (* 1943 ) is a German economist and finance scientist .

Life

Kitterer studied economics from 1965 to 1969 at the Saarland University in Saarbrücken . His doctorate as Dr. rer. pole. took place in 1975. He completed his habilitation in Tübingen in 1983.

In 1984 he was offered a professorship at Christian Albrechts University in Kiel , where he held a professorship for economics and finance (successor to Willi Albers) until 1995 . In addition, from 1988 to 1995 he was a board member of the Lorenz von Stein Institute for Administrative Science . In 1995, Kitterer was offered a professorship at the University of Cologne , where he held a professorship for political economics until his retirement in February 2009 (successor to Karl-Heinrich Hansmeyer ). He was also director of the Financial Research Institute together with Clemens Fuest .

Wolfgang Kitterer has been a member of the Scientific Advisory Board at the Federal Ministry of Finance since 1990 .

Furthermore, he exercises the function of Vice President of the Taxpayers Association .
