Christian Waldhoff (born April 22, 1965 in Paderborn ) is a German legal scholar .

Life

Christian Waldhoff graduated from high school in Steinheim, Westphalia, and studied law at the Universities of Bayreuth , Freiburg im Üechtland and Munich . In 1990 he passed the first state examination in law in Munich. This was followed in 1991/1992 by a doctoral scholarship supported by the Bavarian Graduate Fund; At the same time, he completed his legal clerkship in 1991/1992 at the University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer and at the Federal Constitutional Court in Karlsruhe. In 1994 he passed the second state examination in law.

From 1994 to 2000 he was a research assistant at the Law Faculty of the University of Munich. In 1996 he was appointed with the work "Constitutional provisions for tax legislation in comparison Germany-Switzerland" at the Law Faculty Doctor of Law doctorate . He habilitated in 2002 in Munich for the subjects of State and Administrative Law , Tax Law , European Law , Constitutional and administrative history of the modern era with a thesis on "The administrative coercion. From September 1, 2003, he held the chair for public law at the Faculty of Law and Political Science at the University of Bonn and was director of the Institute for Canon Law .
