Christian Prosenik (born June 7, 1968 in Vienna ) is a former Austrian football player . He has been a football coach since the end of his career .

Career

Prosenik started his career at 1. Simmeringer SC , then moved to ATSV Fischamend and ended up in the Bundesliga with FK Austria Wien . In 1995 he moved to Austria Salzburg . After a year with the Salzburg Violets, his path led back to Vienna . His next stop was Rapid Vienna . From the green-whites he moved to TSV 1860 Munich , played 19 times in the German Bundesliga and scored one goal. In 2001 he returned to Austria. His last active club was the Vienna Sports Club . In 2004 he took over as coach of the Lower Austrian regional division SV Schwechat . Since summer 2005 he has been the junior coach of the U19 BNZ at Rapid Vienna. Since January 1st, 2010 Christian Prosenik has been playing soccer again at the traditional Viennese club SC Wacker Wien .

Christian Prosenik completed a total of 24 international matches for the Austrian national soccer team and scored one goal.

He is the father of Philipp Prosenik , who is currently playing for Wolfsberger AC after stints at FC Chelsea and AC Milan .
