Lutz Gärtner (born October 1, 1944 ) is a former German soccer player .
Career
The midfielder Lutz Gärtner moved to the regional league club Lüner SV in 1968 and made 84 games there within three years, in which he scored 17 goals. In the summer of 1971, Gärtner moved to league rival DJK Gütersloh , with whom he qualified three years later for the newly created 2nd Bundesliga . He made his debut in the 2nd Bundesliga on August 3, 1974 in Gütersloh's 2-5 defeat at 1. SC Göttingen 05 . At the end of the season he left the DJK Gütersloh with an unknown destination. For the DJK he completed 25 second division games, in which he scored four goals, and 96 regional league games, in which he scored 17 goals.
