Lutz Liebscher

Lutz Liebscher (born March 13, 1985 in Jena ) is a German politician ( SPD ). In the state elections in Thuringia in 2019 , he received a mandate on his party's state list.

Life

After high school and civil service in Jena, Lutz Liebscher studied political science, modern history and economics at the University of Jena from 2005 onwards, completing a master's degree. From 2011 to 2013 he was an employee of the state parliament member Christoph Matschie , then from 2013 to 2018 he was an advisor to the Jena mayor. He then moved to the Thuringian Ministry of Economics, Science and Digital Society as an advisor to State Secretary Valentina Kerst .

Party and politics

Liebscher joined the SPD in 2004. He has been party chairman in Jena since 2014 and a member of the state board of the SPD Thuringia since 2016. From 2009 to 2013 he was a member of the Jena City Council for his party.
