Lutz Vogt

Lutz Vogt (* 1968 ) is a German sports scientist and university professor .

Life

Vogt studied sports science at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main with a focus on prevention and rehabilitation. It was there that in 2000 his doctoral thesis on the subject of “Movement behavior of chronic back pain patients” and in 2005 his habilitation (subject: “Instrumental gait analysis: basics, added value, border areas”) were accepted.

In 2009, Vogt took up a professorship in the Sports Medicine Department of the Institute for Sports Science at the Goethe University in Frankfurt, his area of ​​work includes exercise therapy and health sports, functional diagnostics of the movement system, gait analysis as well as research methodology, study and project planning. From 2013 to 2019 he was a member of the board of the German Association for Sports Science and was Vice President for Exercise and Health.
