Lutz Winckler

Lutz Winckler (born January 22, 1941 in Potsdam ) is a German specialist in German .

Life

Winckler studied German and history from 1960 to 1966 in Lausanne , Berlin and Tübingen . After receiving his doctorate in 1968 as Dr. phil. at the University of Tübingen and his habilitation there in 1975, he taught from 1988 to 1998 as an adjunct professor at the University of Tübingen. From 1998 to 2006 he was Professor of German Literature and Culture at the University of Poitiers .

He was visiting professor at the Universities of Marburg (1973/1974), Hamburg (1979–1981), Besançon (1985–1988) and Paris VIII (1983/1984 and 1989/1990). He was a scholarship holder of the German Research Foundation from 1883 to 1985 .

His focus is on literature from exile after 1933 and critical literary sociology .
