Lutz Zauber (born August 9, 1958 in Berlin ) is a former German athlete who won four championship titles of the German Democratic Republic (GDR).

Zauber entered the European Junior Championships in 1977 and finished twelfth in the 1500 meter run . In the 1978 indoor season he was runner-up in the GDR behind Jürgen Straub , and in 1979 he took third place. In 1981 he again came second in the hall, this time behind Günther Ruth . At the GDR cross-country championships in 1981, Zauber won his first championship title in the middle distance. In 1982, Zauber won the GDR indoor championships over 1500 meters and defended this title a year later. In 1983, one month after his indoor title, he also won cross-country skiing. In the open-air season, Zauber never really prevailed, from 1981 to 1983 he took fourth place three times in the GDR championships over 1500 meters, in the 800-meter run a fifth place was his best place in 1982. Zauber started a total of eleven times in the national jersey, but did not take part in major international championships.

Lutz Zauber competed for SC Dynamo Berlin . With a height of 1.81 m, his competition weight was 68 kg. Zauber married the middle distance athlete Angelika Kuhse , their son Falko Zauber is also a track and field athlete.
