Lutz von Pufendorf

Lutz von Pufendorf , and Ludwig von Pufendorf (* 8. February 1942 in Berlin ) is a German politician of the CDU , lawyer and former Secretary of State in Berlin.

Life

Lutz von Pufendorf attended grammar school in Menden and studied law at the Technical University of Berlin and at universities in Bonn, Freiburg i.Br. and Cologne. During his studies he became a member of the Catholic student associations KStV Arminia Bonn and KStV Brisgovia Freiburg.

In 1972 he first entered the public service with the city of Krefeld, from 1973 with the district of Grevenbroich. In 1979 he joined the German Association of Cities as a cultural advisor . From 1981 to 1984 he was mayor of Fulda . Then until 1989 Pufendorf was State Secretary at the Senator for Cultural Affairs in Berlin ( Volker Hassemer ) and again from 1997 to 1999 in the Senate Department for Science, Research and Culture ( Peter Radunski ). From 2001 to 2017 Pufendorf was President of the Guardini Foundation .

His son Max von Pufendorf is an actor.

Title and functions

Pufendorf's title of professor goes back to an honorary professorship awarded in 1985 by the Hanns Eisler University of Music in Berlin . Pufendorf is the founder of the Ferenc Fricsay Society, which commemorates the work of this conductor. He was also chairman of the support association for the Brücke Museum Berlin and published a documentary on the controversial publication of the 1913 Kirchner painting " Berlin Street Scene ".

Surname

According to an interview with his mother, Pufendorf received the baptismal name Ludwig (after Ludwig August von Pufendorf ), which was common in his father's family , but on the condition that Lutz be used as the first name. Pufendorf used both the baptismal name and the nickname in his publications.
