Luyang Academy

The Luyang Academy ( Chinese  廬陽 書院  /  庐阳 书院 , Pinyin Lúyáng shūyuàn , W.-G. Lu-yang shu-yüan ) in Anhui Province was a neo-Confucian academy during the Qing Dynasty . It was in Luzhou 庐州 in Hefei . The academy was founded in 1705 by the then district magistrate Zhang Chunxiu (1647–1706). Her original name was Hengqu Shuyuan橫渠 書院 / 横渠 书院. "The texts relevant for the exams" of the Cheng Zhu School were taught on her. Fang Dongshu (1772-1851) was one of its chiefs. Ma Ruichen (1782-1853) taught her.

The academy has recently been rebuilt.
