Lykomedes ( Greek  Λυκομήδης , Latin Lycomedes) is king of Skyros and the murderer of Theseus in Greek mythology . Achilles grew up among his daughters . Thetis had asked Lykomedes to raise Achilles, disguised as a girl, among his daughters. Achilles fathered one of the daughters, Deidameia , the Neoptolemus . Lykomedes threw Theseus off a cliff when he showed him the lands he had promised Theseus, although they were no longer in his possession.
