Deidameia (daughter of Lycomedes)
Deidameia ( ancient Greek Δῃιδάμεια ) is a figure in Greek mythology . With Achilles she is the mother of Neoptolemus .
She was the daughter of King Lykomedes , the king of Skyros , with whose daughters Thetis hid her son Achilles disguised as a girl so that he would not have to go to the Trojan War .
