Lykos (King of Libya)
Lykos ( Greek Λύκος ), son of Ares and father of Kallirrhoë , was king of Libya in Greek mythology .
Lykos usually sacrificed strangers who came to Libya to his father. Even the Diomedes , who during his wanderings after the Trojan War ended in Libya should be given to this fate. However, Kallirrhoë freed him, whereupon Diomedes fled. Out of lovesickness, Kallirrhoë hanged herself, who had betrayed her father for Diomedes.
