Lynkos (mythology)
Lynkos ( Greek Λύγκος, Latin Lyncus) is a mythical king of Scythia . Because of his intention to kill Triptolemos , who wants to cultivate grain and thus spread cultural skills, Demeter , the goddess of grain and agriculture, turns him into a lynx .
