Lynmouth
Lynmouth is a fishing village on the north coast of the county of Devon in the district of North Devon in south-west England . The place is located about 150 kilometers southwest of Bristol and about 50 kilometers northwest of Appledore . The place became known through the Lynmouth disaster on the night of August 15-16, 1952.
The place is part of the Exmoor National Park . Lynmouth forms a community ( civil parish ) together with the neighboring town of Lynton . The village is surrounded by a cliff with the water ballast train Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway , which is powered by the water of the West Lyn river and connects the two places.
