The Lyons Peak is one of the highest mountains in San Diego County . The summit area is enclosed by an almost rectangular protected area of the Cleveland National Forest . A fire watch tower has been located on the summit itself since 1913 .
There is no public access to the summit. This is completely enclosed by private property.
