Mättital

The Mättital is a small valley in the municipality of Grengiols , Valais , Switzerland . It runs parallel to the Saflisch valley. And like this, it is a side valley of the Lengtal , which leads into the Binntal . The Mättital Glacier flows from the Hillehorn into the Mättital. The Mättital can be accessed from the Steinejoch through the Steinutal in the west or from Heilig-Kreuz in the Lengtal in the east. The surface water flows over the Mättitalwasser, Lengtalwasser, Binna, in the Rotten and thus into the Mediterranean . The Mättital is known for its numerous minerals and is part of the Binntal landscape park.
