Moving truck meter

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The term Möbelwagenmeter (MWM) (short form: loading meter ) was used in the German moving industry until about 1998 and describes a volume unit of 5 cubic meters (1 MWM = 5 m³).

With the reform of transport law on June 1, 1998, the unit "furniture van meters" was no longer continued. Even today there are a few moving forwarders who specify the volume of a household in furniture van meters. For example, 35 cubic meters (the average load volume of a 7.5-ton truck ) is the equivalent of 7 MWM.
