Mönchdorf

Mönchdorf is a street village in the southwest of the market town of Königswiesen in the Freistadt district in the Mühlviertel .

history

In 1141, Otto von Machland donated the then uninhabited area to the Baumgartenberg monastery . The seat of a grangie probably gave the place its name. The place was mentioned in a document around 1300. In 1432 the Hussite storm caused destruction. In 1449, a bailiwick of the Ruttenstein rule over the place was mentioned in a document.

Building

Three-sided, four-sided and single-sided courtyards. Massive changes in the construction in the 20th century.
