The Möschebrunnen is a 1978 by Freienohler sculptor Boniface Stirnberg in bronze created fountains in Aachen .

It stands on the former Singvogelmarkt , which is now called Münsterplatz . Mösch is Öcher Platt and means sparrow , which is why the fountain is also called the sparrow fountain . Stirnberg created several objects in Aachen, including the doll fountain and the group of horses in front of the main train station .

The Möschebrunnen is next to the Elisenbrunnen and the Marktbrunnen in Burtscheid , both of which are fed from the Aachen thermal springs , the only drinking water fountain in the city. The water only flows when it is tapped at the push of a button.
