Klaus Möwius

Klaus Möwius (born June 1932 in East Prussia ) is a German martial artist and holder of the Federal Cross of Merit .

Life

In 1956 Möwius built up the judo department of PSV Bottrop. He has lived in Marl since 1967 . Until 1991, he was a secondary school teacher specializing in sports and work. Klaus Möwius is the holder of the 8th Dan Jiu Jitsu (Kodokan - Budo Association - Germany), 7th Dan Judo ( DJB ) and 1st (Honorary) Dan Taekwondo Kukiwon Seoul. He is Honorary President of the Kodokan Budo Association Germany.

In 2004 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon for special achievements in the field of sport, especially for his services to judo. He was awarded the Silver Badge of Honor of the German Judo Association in 2007.
