Former mill in Oberwindach

The mill in Oberwindach , today part of the municipality of Windach in the Upper Bavarian district of Landsberg am Lech , was essentially built in the first half of the 18th century. The former mill at Mühlbachstrasse 2 is a protected architectural monument .

The mill, which is first mentioned in 1599, stands on a narrow strip of shore between the Upper Mühlbach and an artificially created branch of the Windach . The two-storey steep saddle roof building has a carved front door, which is marked with the year 1841 and the initials "GW" (= Georg Wöll). In the eastern gable there is still a arched loading hatch with a crane beam.

From 1995 to 2001 the building was comprehensively repaired, with additional windows being created in the roof area and on the west gable. Inside, parts of the historic flour mill equipment have been preserved.
