history

The Freisinger Hof had a hair powder mill on its Kammergut Attaching on the Goldach in order to supply the royal household of the bishopric with the powder necessary for the wigs. On a beam of the mill, which burned down completely in November 1813, there was a probable 17th building (illegible). In 1813 it was still owned by the brother miller Martin Huber at number 19 from Attaching.

Until the end of the 18th century, the mill seems to have operated without competition. It was not until 1794 that Domkapitelsche Rentmeister Martin Schadenfroh von Freising received permission to build a starch and hair powder factory in his Donnersbergergarten in Freising.

The water power of the Attachinger powder mill was bought in 1860 on house number 28, the power station of Mr. Pankraz Schmitt. The construction of the mill is likely to have consisted of only two mill aisles according to the beam sections. A third floor was not added to the mill until 1926.

At the beginning of the 2010s it was renovated and converted into a boarding house with a newly built house next to it, but the power station, which still supplies electricity, remains in operation.
