The prince-bishop's Schwaige (property for dairy farming) Attaching became private property in 1803. In the course of the formation of the community after the second community edict, the community of Attaching was established in 1818. The community had no other districts apart from the Kirchdorf Attaching . On May 1, 1978, the community was dissolved and incorporated into the city of Freising.

traffic

The A92 motorway runs between Attaching and the Freising district of Lerchenfeld to the north . State road 2084 leads east past Attaching towards Erding . To the north of Attaching (right next to the A92 and St2084) is the Attaching industrial park. The 634 city bus connects Attaching - via the industrial park and on to Lerchenfeld - with the Freising train station (P + R).

Munich Airport

In 1980, construction began on the nearby Munich Airport , which went into operation in 1992 after a construction period of 12 years. In 2005, plans were initiated for the construction of a third runway to the north. Attaching would be particularly affected by aircraft noise with a continuous sound level of over 70 dB (A) due to the new runway . The airport company's plans include more than 500 overflights a day at a height of 50 to 80 meters, directly over the residential area. In the Munich referendum on the construction of the 3rd runway on June 17, 2012, 54.3 percent of Munich residents voted against an expansion. Legally, the vote is only binding for one year, but Munich's then mayor Christian Ude (SPD), proponent of the construction, has already announced that he will accept the decision “without ifs or buts”. His successor Dieter Reiter (SPD) also sees himself bound by the referendum's vote. Although they are hardly affected by aircraft noise, only the people of Munich were allowed to vote. This is because the state capital, as a co-partner of the airport, can vote for or against the construction of the third runway at the shareholders' meeting.
