Phil Aucoin (born November 12, 1981 in Chelmsford , Massachusetts ) is an American ice hockey player who was under contract with the Danbury Whalers in the Federal Hockey League since 2012 .

Career

As a junior he played for Norwich University in the National Collegiate Athletic Association . From 2004 he played for the Memphis RiverKings in the Central Hockey League and was with 73 points among the top 10 scorers in the league. In the same season he also played two games for the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League . The 2005/06 season he played in the ECHL for the Charlotte Checkers and the Florida Everblades and returned a year later to the CHL for the Memphis Riverkings. For the 2007/2008 season he switched to the Starbulls Rosenheim . However, he left the club in a night and fog action after 9 games for the USA.

Arrived in the US he played a game with the Albany River Rats in the AHL. In January 2008 he moved again to Europe to the Nijmegen Devils in the Netherlands.

Aucoin finished the 2009/10 season as top scorer in the Dutch championship and won the championship title for the first time with the Nijmegen Devils. In August 2010, he signed with league rivals HYS The Hague . On July 13, 2011, the striker was signed by the Reading Royals from the ECHL, for which he did not, however, complete a league game. In 2012 he returned to the United States and joined the Danbury Whalers from the Federal Hockey League .
